We normally use a liquid dishwasher detergent, but tried these once when they were on sale at the grocery store. These work so much better than the liquid! No more spots on our silverware, and I can tell that the glass is a lot less cloudy as well.

My husband had been saying that we needed to look into a new dishwasher, but now he's changed his mind and loves these tablets. We still have half a container of liquid soap that we will probably never use!

Cascade manufactures a great product with their water-soluble pouches of dishwasher detergent. These pouches take all the mess and guess work out of adding the dishwater detergent to your dishwasher before you start it up. Just place one pouch, unopened, into the main dispenser cup (not any other cup) of your dishwasher, close the dispenser cup if you have to--and then just turn on the dishwasher! The pouch with its soap and Dawn gives you very clean dishes that actually DO shine just as Amazon notes that they do. Great!

The pouches cause no harm to septic tanks; and your dishwasher runs just fine with them instead of the regular dishwasher detergent you may have used up until now.

After the dishwasher cycle is over, simply remove the pouch from the dispenser cup and discard it. Make sure that every time you take a pouch out of the plastic bag they come in that you reseal that plastic bag to help maintain the freshness of the remaining dishwasher detergent... Read more

When I was in second grade, my teacher had us do a science project with dish detergents. She brought all of her leftover dinner plates (lasagna) and we put them in large ziplock bags. We put a different detergent in each bag and almost instantly the one with dawn started showing pieces of food just floating off the plate. The other ones needed our help shaking the bag or scrubbing with a sponge but the dawn one was the only one that we didn't have to use a sponge on to make the plate look clean. For some reason that has always stuck in my head and to this day I use Dawn almost exclusively. So when I first saw these a few years ago I was skeptical until I saw 'Dawn' written on the front. And sure enough, they live up to my standard for Dawn detergent.

I haven't tried this scent yet, but I just placed my order for it.

I have never had pac not dissolve completely so I was a little confused by the person who's directions included removing the empty pack. I don't know... Read more

We wanted to replace the Kirkland gel we'd been using because it left a chemical odor on our dishes. I really wish we hadn't. We've never had detergent problems like this before. It leaves a white residue on anything plastic. After a few loads, that residue becomes permanent. It has etched several drinking glasses after one wash and even my glass pan lid. Let's not even talk about my stainless cookware (yes, I machine-wash these, but have never had a problem before). I rewashed thinking it was a fluke or that my dishwasher had had a "bum load". After that, I had more dishes that couldn't go in the cupboard than could. Then I scrubbed the etched glasses by hand thinking it was just stuck on residue buildup. I was wrong. It's not coming off. I will be throwing the rest of the box away immediately. I can't have my toddler eating or drinking from anything coated by this detergent. SO dissapointed by what I thought was a reputable name.

This product ruined my plastic kitchen utensils and destroyed my stainless steel bowls. Everything that I have been putting in the dishwasher for years is now ruined because of this detergent. White film on everything that I can't even seem to scrub off by hand. I want my money back, and I want Proctor & Gamble to explain their abject failure to anticipate and correct the problem with phosphate-free detergent before ever collecting a dime from consumers for this terrible product.

I thought my dishwasher was on the fritz because over the last month I've noticed a white film (that does not come off, even after soaking overnight in soapy water or trying to remove with "Magic Eraser") on all my dishware, flatware and glasses. Then one day I noticed that the box of Cascade I bought at Costco said "Advanced Power" on it instead of "Complete" (which is what I usually buy at Costco). Then it dawned on me that this is what is causing my dishes/utensils/glasses to look like crap!!! I seriously hope when I switch over to another detergent that this white film goes away, otherwise I'm going to file a complaint with Procter & Gamble and request reimbursement to buy new dishware, flatware & glassware.

So disappointed & disgusted that a product could do this! P&G, you really f*#@^d up on this one!

Electrasol used to be great...used it for years. The new formulation harms the environment by forcing the un-ecological hand washing of all your dishes. Milky etching of glassware, crud left on bowls...don't bother buying the new stuff, it's a waste of money. The best of all the new detergents aren't good. And your dishwasher isn't broken! Contact you representives....it's goofy ecologists gone mad (...and I'm an environmentalist since 1965!) Bring back the old formulations while a new one is perfected...otherwise your dishwasher is a thousand dollar investment down the drain, and you will harm the environment with inefficient hand-washing.

This dishwashing detergent left a nasty white grime all over my dishes. It etched into our new glasses and left a layer of white powder over everything else. Very disappionting - it's being returned to the store. I'd give this 0 stars if that was an option.

I've never seen so many spots in the 25 years I've had a dishwasher. This stuff is absolute garbage, I'll never buy it again. Stainless steel comes out with white blotches all over it. This is worse than any of the cheapest generic stuff out there. Don't waste your money.
